Kithulgala is a village tucked away in the deep rainforests roughly 70km from Colombo. Its dense jungles, rivers and beautiful waterfalls make it a perfect escape for the nature lover and adventure seeker. The trip would around 6.30am if you are starting from Colombo or Negombo and around 6.00am if the journey begins from the southern coast.
White Water Rafting/Adventure Sports
The main activity Kithulgala is famous for is the daring feat of White Water Rafting in some of the roughest waters in the country. The experience is exhilarating as you speed through the Keleni River holdings onto your dear life, with proper safety gear and equipment of course! The rafting ends in much calmer water and you finish the journey off by jumping into the mighty river and gently floating to the end where you will be picked up.
