Hiking

If adventure and trekking is your cup of tea, then look no further than the central and southern foothills which are adorned with mountains and valleys, carpeted in lush vegetation and thick greenery amidst natural rain forests and designated sanctuaries boasting bright flora and fauna which are endemic to the island. The sanctuaries and UNESCO heritage sites such as Sinharaja in the south, Knuckles Ranges in the central part of the island and the Horton Plains in Nuwara Eliya are popular destinations for scenic drives, adventure treks, hiking and picnicking. The mountainous city of Ella is by and large the most trending destination currently for tourists and thanks to its cool climate year-round, and hills draped in green tea bushes and the silver waterfalls that trickle down through the valleys makes for some of the most scenic mountain treks. Do not miss out on the climb up little Adam’s peak and make your way to the Ravana caves behind the falls.
